Achieve larger spans: The 6000 mm SKSU cable tray makes it possible.
Increased support spacings for 6000 mm cable tray

To offer a lighter alternative to the WKSG wide span cable tray for a 6000 mm length, OBO has expanded its portfolio to include two more trays and two connectors, each with both the FS and FT surfaces. This is a version of the familiar SKSU 110 cable tray extended to 6,000 mm as well as specially developed RLVA external connectors. The design is based on the established WRVL wide span connectors.
Tests in OBO’s in-house BET Test Centre have shown that the SKSU 6000 mm can be used to achieve spans of over four metres. This requires the use of the RLVA reinforced connector.
Compared to the SKSU with a length of 3000 mm, the new cable trays offer the following benefits:
· Fewer connectors required – ideal for longer distances
· The reduced number of connectors simplifies mounting
· Larger spans of up to 7.0 m are possible in combination with the RLVA external connector
· Number of brackets required reduced thanks to new, larger spans
The 6000 mm-long cable tray can be used in all application areas where the standard SKSU cable tray was previously used. It complements the existing SKSU portfolio with a variant that offers significant mounting advantages, especially over longer distances. The tray is suitable for use in lightweight building constructions where just a few cables have to be routed over long spans. Typical examples include garden centres or lightweight construction warehouses.
The OBO portfolio includes a very wide range of matching accessory and add-on articles. For example, the standardised fittings can also be used for the SKSU variant described here.
