A safe electrical infrastructure is the basis for successful events. Our solutions for sporting and event locations:
- Cable trays in a hot-dip galvanised version: The zinc layer thicknesses of these cable trays allow an installation in outdoor and indoor areas with increased corrosion protection requirements. Despite the high humidity and chlorine levels in the air, the zinc coating ensures a long lifespan over multiple decades.
- Deskboxes for power, data and multimedia: In the press centres of sports areas, power, multimedia connections and data transmission via cable are required directly at the workplace of the journalists, in order to guarantee immediate, secure information processing. The OBO Deskbox , which is clamp-fastened to the tabletop, offers all the necessary connection types and can be placed flexibly, meaning that there is always a sufficiently large workspace on the table.
- Cable trays for outdoor areas: In open stadia and arenas, cable trays and support systems must be able to withstand weather conditions for long periods of time without corrosion damage. To achieve this, components with zinc coating thicknesses according to DIN EN ISO 1461 with approx. 40–60 μm are used, such as the OBO cable trays. These have already been installed in countless stadia around the world. For example, in the Philips Stadium in the Dutch city of Eindhoven, where they provide the reliable supply of the LED lighting above the main stand.
Good to know: OBO cable trays can be coated in various RAL shades. This means that not only the visual requirements can be fulfilled, but also increased corrosion protection achieved.

The LDLC Arena, located close to the French city of Lyon, is a multipurpose hall, which is privately financed and has been created next to the football stadium of football club Olympique Lyonnais.
