New sizes: The separable cable glands from OBO Bettermann

The separable cable glands from OBO Bettermann are now available in two additional sizes. After the M25 size, introduced in 2014, became very popular with electrical installation engineers, the company has now expanded its product range to include the M20 and M32 sizes.

Now, with the new sizes of the separable cable gland from OBO, even more installations of pre-terminated cables with connectors can be carried out. Even the exchange of defective cable glands is easy when using them. In an existing installation, a missing or defective cable gland can be replaced or supplemented without dismantling and interruption of the contacting – without any interruption to ongoing production.

The new separable cable gland also stands out in terms of tightness. Thanks to the versatile sealing inserts, the glands achieve a protection rating of IP 67 and are thus ideal for use under the toughest conditions. In addition, the material also stands out through its high UV resistance. This means that the glands can easily be used outdoors.

OBO can offer suitable spreading pliers as an ideal aid to installation. The cable must simply be inserted into the spreading pliers. Then, apply the pliers to the seal separation and open it. Now the cable can easily be placed into the seal.

With this practical expansion of the production range, electrical installation engineers will now be able to implement or repair more installations in the shortest possible time.
