Project description
A car park facade made almost entirely of wood: "Holzparkhaus" in Rüsselsheim is a real eye-catcher. In addition, it is innovative, environmentally friendly and sustainable. With its wooden facade and support structure, it is located in a large housing estate from the 1970s, in which concrete facades have been the dominant element. It can offer new stimuli for the senses of the car park users: The use of wood means that openness and warm light dominate.
General building information
After the first wooden car park was completed in the housing estate on Robert-Bunsen-Strasse and gained national attention, the next wooden car park was erected as a replacement for the former car park 3. Both wooden car parks are a completely new concept in terms of both construction and urban planning. The new car park will offer 77 parking spaces, as well as four e-charging stations.
Were special solutions used?
The RKS-Magic® cable trays, with their innovative connection principle, were installed in the ceiling of the new car park. They can be connected and installed without screws, connectors or other accessory parts. This produces a clear, effective speed increase during the mounting process.
