OBO Betterman was able to overcome obstacles on the roof of the new building with the PYROLINE® PLMR: with its matching fittings, fireproof cable routing over all common obstacles in outdoor areas can be implemented simply and quickly.

Project description

With twelve locations and around 830 employees, including more than 190 apprentices, it is the largest Mercedes-Benz representative in Upper Bavaria and Swabia.

KreuterMedeleSchäfer GmbH & Co. KG is a long-established Mercedes-Benz car dealership that is constantly growing.

It sells new and used vehicles, and offers servicing for cars, vans, trucks and buses. No wonder that they need a lot of space.

Daimler commissioned the construction of a Rex (retail excellence) facility with a new concept for the Weilheim site, which is the company’s headquarters: an integrated service and sales concept, which merges sales and service and thus enables the expansion of the entire portfolio all from a single location.

The new Rex plant for Mercedes-Benz was planned as an expansion of the Weilheim site.

The construction was completed on the approximately 19,400 square-metre site. The entire complex represents the state of the art, so a photovoltaic system on the roof was a must for sustainability reasons.

Why did the customer choose OBO products?

OBO Betterman was able to overcome obstacles in this regard with the PYROLINE® PLMR: with its matching fittings, fireproof cable routing over all common obstacles in outdoor areas can be implemented simply and quickly.

Were special solutions used?

The PYROLINE® PLMR fire protection duct is suitable for mounting on the FangFix concrete block, which was specially conceived for installations on flat roofs. In Weilheim, it bridges firewalls on the roof of the new building.

This enabled OBO to ensure safe fire protection. In addition, cable support and connection systems from OBO were also used.
