OBO Sustainability Report 2024 is here: Thinking ahead. Acting for the long term.

Another step on our path towards a more sustainable future: Now available, our Sustainability Report 2024 is a testament to our responsibility that we bear as an international group of companies and take very seriously – towards our employees and business partners, towards society and towards the environment. Our Sustainability Report documents the milestones we have achieved on our path and familiarises readers with the major aspects of the sustainability strategy at OBO. Subjects include:

Code of Conduct: embraced values

The Sustainability Report presents our Code of Conduct for Suppliers as well as the OBO Code of Conduct that guides all our actions, among other things. The declarations of obligations on the basic principles and actions of OBO apply to all activities and business relationships of the organisation. We pay particular attention to local connections and civil organisations, as well as the further training of the next generation. The Sustainability Report also provides examples of how we embrace social sustainability, for example by enabling the Christoph Bettermann schools in Uganda or by sponsoring the Diospi Suyana mission hospital in Peru.

Our employees are our most cherished asset

Around the world, our employees contribute to the further development of the company and the achievement of our aims. They are our most cherished asset and their health and well-being are important to us. We support them with health protection and various preventative measures, a true work-life balance and occupational safety. With our internationally recognised ISO 45001 certification, we show that we are taking our social responsibilities seriously and that we are doing everything we can to reduce the risk of injuries, accidents and workplace illnesses of employees in a provable manner.

Always keeping an eye on our environmental impact

With our many measures, we already have a strong focus on the environment, acting with resource efficiency in mind. Whether by using recycled materials in our production or sustainable packaging and shipping solutions, our decision to utilise energy from renewable sources or by reducing our water consumption.
